Big City Improv Festival (BCIF)

Date: Friday November 23rd 2018
Time: 8:00pm - 9:30pm

Big City Improv Fest presents:

8-Bit is a short-form improv team from Arcade Comedy Theater in Pittsburgh, PA. Performing classic short form games as well as some fun creations of their own, they put a premium on high energy, crisp gameplay/hosting, and audience involvement.

They've gained notoriety around their hometown during their monthly mainstage showcase, in which they've produced wild-themed shows such as PROPaganda, 8-Bit & the H8-Bit Takeover, and The 8-Bit Turkey Trot. Ever a band of merry troublemakers, they're always on the lookout for ways to inject fun, new variations into what it means to put on a quality short-form improv show.

Dream Cheese is a spicy, Buffalo-based improv troupe that serves long-form sets based on popular internet websites. We use audience suggestions to search through missed connections, message boards, and blogs for inspiration. Come see people of the internet and their experiences explored and expanded IRL!

Orson Whales is an Assembly House team that mashes up longform, absurdism and theatricality. Performing in festivals like Big City Improv Festival , Toronto Haroldfest, Del Close Marathon, Detroit Improv Festival, and the winners of Toothache (2015), the Whales base their sets loosely on the Harold with lots of room for weird tangents, interesting callbacks, and child detectives. Join us for an exciting journey through existential dread.
