| Rob Baker is an award winning actor, writer, director and producer, originally from East Vancouver. He is an alumnus of the Second City, where he starred in, wrote and then directed a total of five critically acclaimed shows. He has won Canadian Comedy Awards for best improv troupe and best sketch revue, and has been nominated for a Dora and a CSA. He co-created and starred in the sitcom Guidance for Blue Ant and the original series Body Buds for CBC. Recent film/TV highlights include a recurring role on the Amazon Prime drama Cross, writing for the legendary CBC show 22 Minutes and writing for the Emmy-nominated Workin’ Moms. Look for The Light Before The Sun, a dark comedy film he penned, on the festival circuit in 2025 and Locals Welcome, the docuseries he co-created, premiering on CBC October 5, 2025. |
