COST: $100 + Tax
INSTRUCTOR: Tim Progosh
LOCATION: Comedy Bar Danforth
In this one day intensive workshop we explore the difference between live and on camera performance through the skills required to act in TV and film. We will cover basic techniques from hitting a mark, to eyelines, overlapping, frame sizes, scene composition and even how to decode a scene for an audition. Then the students will all audition for a small part in a scene. They will learn how to prepare so they will have a fighting chance of getting the part.
The course's focus then shifts to what you do once you have the part? This is the stuff that is rarely taught.
From on set arrival to departure, students will experience a day on set.
The shoot day is explained, and lived! We bring the audition to life in context of what happens when you actually get the part.
This intensive will give each student an understanding of:
On camera technique
Preparing for and shooting a self tape or in person audition
The experience of a day on set - what to expect and how to look like and act like a professional.
Every student will be sent a digital comparison of their audition and on set performance.
