DESCRIPTION

Discover and explore accents as a character building tool for improv, sketch, and stand up! 

We'll start with the core essentials of how to learn any accent (using  Stage Standard dialect), and then dive deeply into four more accents: British (RP/South London), New York, Australian and Irish, with the opportunity for you to work on an accent of your own choosing!

Suitable for new practitioners as well as those who have attended Matthew's previous accent workshops at Comedy Bar, we'll dive more deeply into both the foundations and the details of each accent, with all participants receiving one-on-one feedback in this masterclass-formatted course.  

We'll complete the course with a fun in-class presentation, either using a piece of your material or a Q&A format to practice and present speaking in dialect for an extended period of time.
