DESCRIPTION

Take your longform improv to the next level with our 6-week Armando Intensive, the format that inspired the world-famous ASSSSCAT. Designed for experienced improvisers looking to sharpen both their storytelling and scenic skills, this course explores how true, detailed monologues can inspire dynamic, character-driven scenes.

Under the guidance of Tom Hearn (JFL New Face, ASSSSCAT and RAT SCRAPS monologist, creator of Toronto’s The Kinsey Fail, and alumni of Second City and Bad Dog Featured Players), you’ll learn to mine stories for ideas, build rich ensemble scenes, and weave character, game, and narrative into your work.

With focused in-studio exercises and performance-based feedback, you’ll leave this class ready to deliver compelling Armando shows with confidence and depth. The class will conclude with a show featuring a high profile monoglist.
