Create, write, and perform an original comedy character in one weekend.

Across two 4-hour workshops (August 1 & 2), Andy will teach the improv and sketch-writing techniques he uses to quickly generate memorable solo character ideas, sharpen them into strong comedic pieces, and get them ready for the stage. The intensive culminates in a live character showcase at 5:00 PM on August 2nd in Comedy Bar's Studio Theatre.

This class is designed for performers who want to generate ideas more freely, strengthen their joke writing, and bring characters to life without getting stuck in overthinking. Whether you're building a solo show, creating material for character showcases, or trying character comedy for the first time, you'll leave the weekend with a finished piece and a repeatable creative process.
