DESCRIPTION

Get out of your head and into your body! 

Whether you are a stand-up, improviser, actor, sketch comedian, or just trying to exist in this world, your voice is only one of the comedic tools you have available to you. 

Each week, participants will be guided through exercises and games to play with and explore aspects of comedic movement. Through creating a safe, accessible and playful environment, this course will respectfully break down various forms of physical comedy such as creative movement, clown and dance. 

With 8 in-studio classes and 1 showcase performance, students will leave this course feeling more comfortable using the space around them, whether your goal is to develop a unique physical comedy piece or just feel a bit looser on stage. Participants will use their in-course exploration to individualize a unique 3-5 minute piece of physical comedy which they present at a Showcase Performance!
