You know the difference between a good set and a great one. — The problem is that most improv training is designed to build skills, not to examine the ones you already have.
In this class, you will perform, observe, and be observed — with the specific goal of naming what you actually do, not what you think you do.
This is not a class about fixing you. It is a class about seeing yourself clearly — your specific strengths, your recurring traps, and the gap between your intentions and your impact. You will leave with a concrete, personalized map of your craft so you can get to the goals you have a little bit easier and a little bit faster.
The class is built entirely around the participants in the room on that specific day. The exercises exist to generate observable data, not to teach technique. The debrief is diagnostic, not prescriptive. You will not be told what good improv looks like. You will be helped to see what your improv actually looks like — and to decide for yourself where to take it next.
Who this is for: This class is designed for performers who want to work long-form improv, who are serious enough about the craft to want honest, specific feedback rather than general encouragement.
You are probably right for this if: you perform regularly and feel like your growth has plateaued; you know something is off in your work but cannot quite name it; you have taken a lot of classes and feel like you keep getting the same notes; you are building toward something — a one-person show, a touring ensemble, a television audition, a career — and you want your training to reflect that.
