Jason DeRosse is an award-winning improv performer and a highly-touted instructor, facilitator and comedy writer. He is an Alumni of The Second City Mainstage, a current performer at UCB and a graduate of The Groundlings Improv Lab. As an instructor, Jason has been teaching Improv at Second City for over 20 years, where he was also the Head of The Writing Faculty until moving to Los Angeles in 2018. You may recognize Jason from sketches on Jimmy Kimmel Live, FOX Sports, or possibly from one of his almost 100 commercials. He has won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Improviser, been named by NOW Magazine Toronto as a #1 Artist to Watch, and NOW’s Best Comedy Show of the Year. Jason was part of the ensemble cast on the television sketch show Hotbox and thanks to his improv skills, has starred in 3 television prank shows; Scare Tactics, Meet the Family, and Howie Do It. As a former cast member of The Sketchersons during the birth of Comedy Bar, he is so happy to be able to spend time back with the amazing Toronto community (he misses so dearly) at Toronto’s best comedy venue. |
