DESCRIPTION

This course is for experienced improvisers ready to sharpen their craft and go deep on longform’s most iconic structure: The Harold.

Across 7 in-studio classes and 6 optional performances, students will focus exclusively on the classic Harold—learning how to build strong openings, generate recurring themes, weave callbacks, and escalate group games with confidence and clarity. You’ll strengthen your ability to create layered characters, heighten patterns, and collaborate as a cohesive ensemble within this time-tested framework.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the mechanics and magic of The Harold—and the tools to perform it with precision and play.

All graduates of Pro Harold will be invited to perform in a run of STUDIO FRIDAYS. Ticket sales from this show will be split 50/50 with performers.

PREREQUISITES

This class is by submission only. Applicants must be a graduate of an improv program or have 3+ years of industry experience to be eligible.
