Noted Performance: Tuesday, September 24th at 8:30 PM during Comedy Bar's HOT MIC 

Showcase Performance: Wednesday, September 25th at 7 PM

DESCRIPTION

Build on your current skills by learning to tap into your authentic voice. With 7 in-studio classes, 1 noted performance and 1 showcase performance, you'll craft original, relatable, and punchy material that reflects your unique perspective. 

Drill down on the nuances of comedic timing, pausing, and pacing to maximize laughter. Practice your physical and vocal delivery, including gestures, facial expressions, and vocal inflections. Edit and refine your jokes to eliminate unnecessary words and maximize comedic impact. 

Graduates of the PRO Stand-Up class will have priority access to perform on Comedy Bar's HOT MIC, running Tuesdays at 8:30 PM in the Comedy Bar Danforth Studio Theatre.

Price: $375.00 + Tax - As of July 3, 2024

PREREQUISITES

This class is by submission only. Applicants must be a graduate of a stand-up program or have 3+ years of industry experience to be eligible.  

HOW TO SUBMIT

Email a headshot and previous stand-up experience to submissions@comedybar.ca using the subject line STAND-UP BLOOR for consideration by Monday, July 22nd.

Successful applicants will be contacted and enrolled by Thursday, July 25th.
