A UK-style panel show showcasing some of Toronto’s best comedy talent, inspired by Would I Lie To You and Mock The Week.

They may be funny, but who’s a good liar? Who is incapable of having a non-weird first date? We’ll find out with a variety of games played by our comedy ensemble.

The show will be edited and distributed on YouTube, so let’s make some magic happen!

Hosting is Matthew Ardill

Matthew Ardill is a successful podcaster who hosts Detecting The Marvelous, Order Up! and Comedy Album Book Club. He’s opened for performers like Judah Friedlander and coordinated interviews with luminaries including Jackie Kashian, Matteo Lane and Patton Oswalt.

Team 1:

Jordanne Brown

Jordanne Brown is a stand-up comedian and writer based in Toronto. She had performed as a part of Sled Island, Just for Laughs Toronto and Vancouver, and Toronto Sketch Fest. She has also been featured on the Just For Laughs Originals album “Decorating with Garbage” and recently recorded her first TV taping for Season 5 of CBC’s New Wave of Standup. Check out her debut album “I CAN EXPLAIN”, now available for streaming or purchase!

George Rivard:

George Rivard was adopted from Sierra Leone by Canadian parents and was raised in the Yukon in a community of 30,000 people. Facing adversity as a young black child in a small community, comedy, and entertainment became his main calling. Whether it be breakdancing, music, acting, cooking, entertaining, or just making his friends laugh, George has been performing for 12 years, finding his stride within the last 5 years in Toronto. George has recently recorded with Just for Laughs originals, and Underground Comedy Railroad for Comedy Records. He is a regular comic at Comedy Bar, Corner Comedy Club, and Absolute Comedy Club. George is also no stranger to appearing in Indie music videos and sketch comedy projects. Relatable, outgoing, and unapologetically Canadian! Yukon REPRESENT!

Team 2

Ryan Beverage

Originally from England, Ryan Beverage has come to Canada to steal your jobs and your women. He has taken shows to the Hamilton and Edinburgh Fringe festivals, while he regularly uses charts and music in his standup, which is often labeled as absurdist.

Jordan Trafford

Jordan Trafford’s comedy can only be described as many things. Equal parts dead pan, absurd, and silly Jordan has shared his work from St. John’s Newfoundland to Los Angeles, California, and everywhere in Toronto. Jordan has appeared many times on local territorial roast battle show Your Hood’s a Joke, Los Angeles Roast battle, and several places less offensive. When asked about his future in comedy he interrupts both politely and softly saying “manifesting greatness”.
