Nour Hadidi (What We Do in the Shadows, The Debaters, Roast Battles Canada, Comedy Central) and Bita Joudaki (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Children Ruin Everything, JFL) co-headline a late show with 30 minutes each.
Nour left a career in finance to pursue stand-up, and her family have taken it about as well as you’d expect. Bita has written for both CBC sketch comedy and Peppa Pig, so she’s equally comfortable with political satire and a pig who jumps in muddy puddles. Two of Toronto’s sharpest writers tell jokes with a portion of proceeds going to support the Al-Salmi family in Gaza.
