Ola Dada is a Nigerian-born comedian whose warm, playful style has made him one of Canada’s standout rising voices. He first caught national attention as the runner-up in the SiriusXM Top Comic competition, followed by an appearance on CBC’s The New Wave of Standup and a semifinalist spot on Canada’s Got Talent in 2022.
Most recently, he placed 2nd in the Seattle International Comedy Competition - the largest and longest-running comedy competition in North America - further cementing his momentum.
Ola has performed at prestigious festivals across the country, including Just For Laughs in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto, where he headlined his own show. Notably, he graced the stage at the Patton Oswalt JFL Gala in Montreal, Skankfest Las Vegas and was featured in the 2025 Halifax Comedy Festival and 2024 Winnipeg Comedy Festival, one of Canada’s longest-running comedy festivals. His first comedy special, Unlimited Dada - available on Comedy Dynamics - and his debut album, Dada Plan, showcase his distinct voice and charm.
Ola is known for his fun, light-hearted comedy and uses his life experience as material – being raised in Fort McMurray in a Nigerian home, living in Vancouver and the contrast in values and views on life, religion and relationships.
