Produced by the Tita Collective, Tawa Comedy Festival celebrates Filipin* culture, heritage, and comedic talent through bold, joyful live comedy. Featuring performers from across Canada and the United States, the festival brings together stand up, improv, and character driven work rooted in community, storytelling, and big laughs.
“Tawa” means laugh in Tagalog, and the festival lives up to its name. It is playful, political, personal, and unapologetically funny. Each night offers a chance to experience comedy that reflects Filipin* voices, perspectives, and creative excellence.
A celebration of culture, connection, and the joy of laughing together during Filipino Heritage Month.
