DESCRIPTION

The Troupe: Tik Tok Boom is CB PRO's audition-based course focused entirely on creating Toronto's next great Sketch Show with a twist!

This high-energy sketch show will be composed entirely of Blackouts and Extended Blackouts, that's right, bite-sized, Tik-Tok inspired sketch comedy for the masses AND will feature an improvised "speed-set" as high-octane "Act 2."

Members of The Troupe: Tik Tok Boom will spend 2 terms, under expert guidance and direction and using real-world writers room techniques to write, rehearse and perform an original, one-act Sketch Show at the Comedy Bar Danforth!

Please Note: Material created in The Troupe: Tik Tok Boom program remains property of the students who wrote said material. Future use and/or licensing of the Revue presented as a whole (or more than 50%) is open to discussion on a case by case basis and at the discretion of CB PRO leadership.

PREREQUISITES

This class is by Audition only. Applicants must be a graduate of a comedy program or have 3+ years of industry experience to be eligible.

Email a headshot, resume and one (1) original sketch to submissions@comedybar.ca using the subject line TIK TOK BOOM for consideration.

Submissions close: Thursday, May 1st. 

Auditions will be held: Friday, May 2nd at Comedy Bar Danforth.
