In this 9 week course, you’ll delve deep into the foundations of sketch comedy writing for both the stage and the screen! Learn common scene types and structures, how to generate and clearly establish a strong premise, experience writing in an ensemble and learn the value of rewrites and punch-ups.  Explore techniques for creating unique and memorable characters and worthwhile callbacks and payoffs. Start to develop a portfolio of sketches you can take anywhere!

The final class of CORE SKETCH WRITING will culminate in a live table read with comedy performers so you can feel your work brought to life!
